Goa Vacation – September 2014

Work, work & work – And we desperately needed a vacation. A vacation where we can just RELAX with family. And of course, this was a special trip planned for my son, Havish! Probably, South Goa was just waiting to welcome us – this was one of the best vacations we had in India.

To begin with, we boarded the Go-Air flight on September 25. Someone was in absolute hurry!

Landed on time, we headed straight to Kenilworth Resort & Spa. We were upgraded to suite room, courtesy, Mr. Khosla & Mr. Sanjay – they made sure that we have a gala time. And Kenilworth was indeed worth it! Sprawling resort with immense open space and greenery, awesome pool, beach facing room – every bit was mesmerizing. And to top it, Kenilworth staff was very caring and cooperative. Right from Mr. Khosla (Resort Manager) to Mr. Sanjay (Front Office Manager) to Mr. Deepjyoti (F&B Manager) to Mr. Mattison, Ms. Pooja, Mr. Rahul and I can go on and on – everyone was just so nice! We were with our two kids and they made sure that we feel home, truly!

Day 1, as expected began with a beach walk which was just 100 meters walk from our room. Hop over and you are there!

This was followed by some serious chess and two hours in the swimming pool, with slides 🙂

Tired? Lunch & rock solid nap!

Evenings were lazy, we spent time at the Resort Fun Zone.

Day 2, we made a trip to Basilica of Bom Jesus – a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It contains the body of St. Francis Xavier, a very close friend of St. Ignatius Loyola with whom he founded the Society of Jesus, the (Jesuits). We were thrilled to see his body well-preserved in a casket for about 450 years now! We were thrilled!

Day 4, we were a little sad 🙁 – our Goa trip was coming to an end! We had to head back to Bangalore! As we say, every good thing has to end, but for us every day is good, every day is fun! We came to Goa, to relax and to make sure that our son enjoys the beach! This was a special trip planned for him – and he undoubtedly had a gala time! Special thanks to Kenilworth! Good bye GOA and see you again 🙂
